December 31st, January 1st, the old year melted into the new year seemingly without much notice. I simply couldn't wait until new year started, and suddenly the year was here! So...what? Everything doesn't magically change just because it's a new year. I guess it's up to us to ACTUALLY change...and that's something that's very hard to do...

Blogging And The Lady
Writing for an audience is dare I say...hard...ok, let's just say, challenging. It's one thing to write in one's personal diary, and another thing entirely to write in a public domain. Just entertaining the thought of writing a post and my insides freeze over and my brains frizzles up, whooosh! I just seem to go into automatic shutdown mode. Then I start thinking, what is the matter with me??! Is it fear? YES you bet it is.
Writing a public blog means putting yourself out there, being vulnerable, and that is damn hard for us so-called "strong types". It is unveiling one's heart to criticism and the scrutiny of all and sundry, and that's quite a scary thought. Maybe I'm not so strong after all...
How can I shift this dynamic?? I need to shift this dynamic!!!!! Writing is usually fun, so why is it so difficult now??!! What to do, what to do?? Maybe I'm just meant to be a closet writer...but what about the exciting possibilities of sharing thoughts and ideas with people all around the world?? I must persevere...
Why am I even blogging..? This is exactly why. Because I fear to do so, hence, I must. I'm going to blog until I overcome this fear, yep.

From Personal Journalling To Blogging
Hello, and welcome to my blog!
This is my very first blog post! Yes, I've jumped on the blogging bandwagon, lol. My Reason For Blogging
I've always been inclined toward journal-keeping; been journalling since I was 12. I believed even then, that we are in this world for a reason. We are all meant for something great. We are in this world for a reason. We add value to our own little corner in our world; that's the absolute truth of the matter, and the results are disastrous when we forget that truth.
Well, journalling helps me clear my head, make goals and keep focussed; but this is different, this is online journalling! Anyone can see this if they want to, quite a scary thought! But I want to move beyond fear, to live my life totally free of limiting beliefs and fears, so this is a start!
I hope that with this tool of public accountability will come even greater determination, focus and personal accountability. Plus I hope to make new friends who share the same goals I do, so that we can help each other grow.
This is my life, my story...this is the voice of an African girl.
